Overall Winner of the Triple Threat! On a hot day in early August Wes Mather finished 2nd in his age group in both the mile and and 5k, then third overall in the half-marathon. Together Wes finished the triple threat (1 mile, 5k, and half marathon overall time) as the overall winner in 1:47:29. Congratulations
Kim has finished in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in all four races of the Women’s 5k so far this year as part of the Race Cancer Boston 5k Summer Series. She finished 1st in two the four races and 2nd to fellow CRC member, Jayne Hetherington at the club’s race on July 12th. Congratulations
He ran the 0.2 mile lap to start the 26×1 Relay for CRC and then finished off the race with the last lap and our club’s fastest mile at 4:37! He also finished 29th overall out of more than 8,000 runners at the BAA 10k. He (and several other CRC runners) beat Boston Marathon winners
Chris won the 5k and Matt won the 12.5k at the Joe English Trail Challenge on May 6th. The weather was in the upper 50s with some intermittent rain showers, which made for slightly muddy conditions. Congratulations Chris and Matt!
Riina ran a huge PR at the 2018 Boston Marathon in the pouring rain! She anchored CRC’s Women’s Open team to our fastest, time finishing 3:16:32 despite the rain, wind, and other calamities of this year’s race. Congratulations Riina!
Lisa is an amazing trail runner and ultrarunner. She recently completed her first 100-miler at the Orcas Island 100 miler in Oregon! In 2016, she won the TARC Summer Classic 40-miler and is a great pacer for CRC runners on the trail. Read more about Lisa’s ultra running here! Congratulations Lisa!
Pat is finishing up the World Marathon Majors this spring by running the London Marathon. He also recently turned 30 and did a post-work 30 mile run on a weeknight to celebrate the occasion. He’s an enthusiastic racer for CRC and contributor to club events. Congratulations Pat and good luck in London!
