March 12, 2022
The last CRC covid policy update was sent on December 1, 2021. Fortunately, recent trends in the pandemic have indicated reduced transmission rates, higher vaccination rates, and wider availability of testing. As such, many of our local municipalities will be lifting or have already lifted indoor mask mandates. The following policies apply to all CRC events effective March 13, 2022 (in accordance with the City of Cambridge):
-
Members must be fully vaccinated to attend indoor CRC events. This includes events hosted by outside venues and those hosted by CRC members.
-
Masks are not required at hosted events inside members’ residences, unless explicitly noted otherwise by the host.
-
When attending events at outside venues, masks are required in accordance with the stated policies of the host venue.
-
In particular, the MIT indoor mask mandate is still in effect. CRC will meet at the MIT indoor track through March 31, 2022.
- Masks are optional at MIT, effective March 14, 2022. Our MIT contact confirmed this applies to us at the indoor track. https://now.mit.edu/

Unsure about the venue or if you’ll need access to facilities along a running route? It’s a good idea to always have a mask handy in case you need it.

Any stricter local, state, or federal guidelines will supersede the above, as applicable.
We want to thank the previous officers again for navigating CRC through an extremely challenging period of the pandemic, and all of our members for cooperating with changing policies and unknowns. We also remind everyone that as in the past, there is always a possibility of the pandemic continuing to evolve in the coming months and we will revisit policies as needed.
