New Bedford Half Marathon
New Bedford, MA

The 2008 USATF New England Grand Prix kicked off with the New Bedford Half Marathon.
Weather turned out to be reasonably good with temps approaching 40 and wind as light as one can expect in New Bedford. A number of CRCers including Edu, Bernat, Jason, Kaitlin, Daniel, and Jon turned in PRs (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone here). Maggie Doherty made her CRC racing debut.
Meredith Stanford, Andrew Goldthorp, and Coach Scott Cody cheered on the CRC race team.
Apres-race fare included the traditional fried fish filet sandwiches on whole wheat bun and fish stew.
Upon returning to Cambridge we celebrated our greatness at Bernat's along with some of the CRCers who ran in the Somerville 5k.
