What a day to race. Saturday May 16, a hearty group of CRC runners made the trip up to Bedford New Hampshire to take part in the 35th Annual Bedford Rotary 12K and 5K. Once again CRC had a very strong showing both in the individual category as well as the team category.

Chad Carr led the way for all CRC runners with his usual blazing speed. Jenn Campbell took second female overall and took home some hardware and cash to go along with it. Congrats to Ashley Carter who completed her first race as a CRC member. She turned in a great time while representing CRC well.

Jay Salony continued to show he has a lot of grit as he charged up the final hill to over take a few runners in front of him. Rumor has it he was trying to impress Meredith who was on the sidelines cheering him on. Justin Verdirame made another strong showing while Becky Hutchinson continued her usual outstanding performance while chasing after Justin for most of the race. Xenia Sibova, Krista McDowell, Kristina Buenafe and Zena Urban rounded out the field of CRC runners all turning in great times. The crowd was a little disappointed that Kristina did not wear her pink tutu for this race.

The CRC women turned in a fourth place team finish.

Over in the 5K, Lisetta Shah was the lone CRC representative. Even with a small run in with a car, she still managed to turn in an awesome time while kicking it hard to the finish line.
