City Run 5 Miler April 5, 2009

On what started to be a semi-chilly Sunday morning, 16 CRCers ran the Marathon Sports City Run at Fresh Pond. What a great fast course that loops on the streets around Fresh Pond then in Fresh Pond’s path. After about 20 minutes of running, the sun started beaming through the clouds and the weather turned perfect. Thanks to our very own Coach Scott Cody who ran opposite of the race as part of his long run and as a way to cheer us all on. A little encouragement goes a long way. What a quick easy course that’s in our own town!

Congrats to all the runners who did a phenomenal job! Here are a few spotlights: Jayne’s boyfriend ran his first 5 mile race this day—congrats to his instant PR! More spotlights go to Ting, Aaron, and Dave McClain…congrats on setting a PR! And of course, yet again Dave Loutzenheiser ran 2 races back to back. After he kicked it in high gear for this 5 miler, he drove out to Cohasset to meet up with the other CRC’ers running the Road Race by the Sea 10K . Nice job to everyone!
