Philadelphia Marathon

CRC made another successful trip to Philadelphia during the weekend before Thanksgiving, with 14 club runners racing the marathon or half marathon. Despite cold temperatures, many members had excellent races.

The night before the race, CRC dined at the world-renowned Spaghetti Warehouse before retiring to the Hampton Inn. The next morning, your fearless runners set off into the frigid pre-dawn to assemble in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum for the 7:00 AM start. Many hummed “Eye of the Tiger” as they stood in endless port-a-john lines. It was on. Andrew, Pradeep, Meredith, Pat and Geoff all set PR’s.

After the race many runners (and spectators) indulged in thousands of calories worth of burgers, fries, beer, and potato skins at the Hard Rock Cafe.
