Beach to Beacon 10k

The entries for this year's Beach to Beacon 10k sold out in 1 day; thus, only a few CRCers were able to run. Heavy fog covered the course, making the race "deceptively humid" (according to the race announcer), but also serving to keep the temperatures cool. Organization and crowd support were once again top notch for this race. Geoff Philbrick, Ting Chen, and Justin Verdirame completed their second race of the week (see also Yankee Homecomeing 10 miler on Tuesday. Fatigue from the 10 miler was not an issue for Geoff as he set a PR in the 10k. Kimberly Owen ran a fanatastic time, finishing 19th out of 347 in her age group. Geoff used his towering height to see over the crowd at the start and see that Phil Michael also ran.
