Mount Washington Road Race

Last Saturday was the 48th annual Mt Washington Road Race and as usual we crashed the race in style...
Highlights of the weekend including staying in a local B&B, Peter organizing a pre-race dinner at the Scarecrow and breaking out what Justin has penned as the infamous "Big Blue" tent with our CRC banner for the post race cookout.
A big thanks to all of our volunteers, who handed out finisher medals and water at the summit -- Bill, Chad, Elizabeth, Eileen, Jamie, Jenn, Johnny, Kaitlin, Katie, Marcia, Pat, Pradeep, Rachel and Steve.
16 runners was perhaps our clubs largest turnout in some time at this race. Race conditions were good -- 60s at the base and a bit cooler (40s) near the summit. Nine first timers all turned in solid efforts. Hank, Robyn and Jay all smashed PRs from previous Mt Washington Efforts. And Peter completed his 21st consecutive Mt Washington Road Race. Congrats Peter!
