Battle of Bunker Hill 8K
Charlestown, MA
Sunday, June 15, 2008
Sunday's race in Charlestown was WET! Nevertheless, 7 CRCers took to the course. Rain fell hard for about an hour before the race and continued a bit lighter throughout. Aside from puddle-dodging, conditions were good for racing. Runners encountered one steep half-mile hill at approximately 1.5 miles. The remainder of the course was mainly flat.
CRC runners did well once again in their divisions. Barry Canton made a return to the roads after a long hiatus for academics. Despite not actually seeing the Bunker Hill Monument on the course, I'm sure that all runners were solemnly aware of the significance of this day in the history of trans-Atlantic relations!
Congratulations to all who ran. Apologies to anyone I missed.
